remove rear window glass
Hey guys, I thought I would take a pause before I break something. I am trying to get the regulator and left rear window out to address a dead motor. Which way does the glass come out and what other trim or guides may I need to remove? Thx in advance -Matt http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr210/ze...

I took it to a old school recommended dent shop and the guy spent 2 weeks with it. He says he could only get it out a little bit due to the metal being thicker than modern cars. Oh well I tried, and only paid half of the agreed price. And it still way cheaper than buying the hammer and bag kit off o...

the early "nemo" valves suck. build yourself a choke and you wont have to worry about an NOS part failing in 2 years.

That pic gave me a hard on. My non-feedback L-jetronic has so many more electrical components with only marginal benefits. If any? Thats such a wonderful setup and a gateway to trick modifications. Maybe 3 individual weber carbs. Never trust machinery more complicated than a knife and fork. An engin...

All done. We got the system on vacuum for 30 minutes, then on pressure check. One crimp needed to be recrimped at a different clock in order to seal up a leak. There was also a bad schrader valve on the retrofitted low side port. I arranged those hoses in that way where one is holding the other back...

The true width of this condenser is 21.5 inches with the integrated bracket bars. Yes, it was trouble working out the closeness of the brackets and hoses. Yes, I am finally finished plumbing it. I needed two short drop 90 degree elbows on the condenser and compressor (pictured) just to make it fit. ...

This is the original Ranco thermal breaker. It seems to be working great by bench checking it in the freezer. The Honda part follows a different digital logic with a range of ohms that just won't work without designing a bulky circuit and relay, etc. http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr210/zepplin6...

Who's coming? Im registered but still need to put my front bumper back on because of my big AC project. I think I'm going tent camping when I reach Pagosa. Its not my first time roughing it with the shark either.

This new condenser fan from Jegs is noticeably lighter. 13 inch universal. It feels good to throw more 70's tech in the garbage can. I even went to the store and splurged on extra rubber iso spacers. Slathered the bolts in blue loctite. The fan came with these cheesy plastic cable strap things. I ac...

Brackets for the condenser and reworked bracket for the oil cooler are done. Im having a hell of a time too. Space is limited and the condenser is already butted up against the driver side cavity wall to make space for the side pictured. The condenser is very light and I only went with 3 sturdy brac...

Pictured is the top of the condenser. I don't have a problem hacking and slashing this car, but when it comes to easily visible stuff, I'm not drilling extra holes that can be seen when the hood is open. One bracket mounts to the car, the other to the condenser. I then install a union bolt (upper on...

I don't if you fellas have been paying attention to the current exchange rate, but now is prime time to book your flight to De or the EU in general. If I was still there I know I would be hoarding Euro out of the German ATMS. Ouch what a mess, but it always creates opportunities.

Aeroquip hoses sound nice. My boss recently invested in crimping tools, so I think I'm going traditional. I already had the evaporator out of the car. I've got to find the expansion valve. Maybe I have messed with it already, I can't recall. Pics of the belt installed. If the belt starts to stretch,...

Back to working in my hot garage. This is the 16X20 condenser. http://www.universalacparts.com/product/UNIVERSAL-CONDENSER-16-X-20 Just enough space to setup some brackets, 90 degree fittings, and the fan mounting. Its a good amount of space to play with after the old monstrosity came out. My boss s...
