m635 Exhaust options and Supersprint install
I"m looking to update my exhaust on my m635... I have this and my old systems is pretty rusty. https://i.imgur.com/b91xF8S.jpg I'm thinking about using the supersprint section 1 pipes with a OE muffler https://3a663eb0fef48c6d2d60-a88f8ebfcdb877ad223e888bfcb7f7ec.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/838884_x600...

It will need nuts on both sides. Pretty sure if fits in the top mount just fine you'll see once you try to put it in there.

Re: I need professional advice on my '87 M6
What is a "halo car"
The original hours - 50 at $120 per hour = $6
They billed me for 162 hours totaling $19,440.00.
With parts and tax - $26,582.
Wow! I don't think I would have paid that. I would have walked out and asked for a line itemized bill.

sounds like it's been sitting.
I bet those tires are from the 90's or older.
Needs quite a bit of maintenance.... and they body work is $$$
I'd say less that $20k. $15-$18k

Re: E24 M6 Gearbox replacement
I assume you are talking about this tranny? https://www.ebay.de/itm/Getrag-260-Getriebe-BMW-M635csi-und-E28-M5-260-0-1302-90/253236885614 1.300 euros is quite a bit of money for a 260. You can buy those for around $400 over here in the US. 260.0.1302.90 is probably a 260 from later e28s/e24s. Not re...

Re: E24 M6 Gearbox replacement
Yes, your m6 should have a 280 Getrag in it. However, finding a 280 that is in good condition is very hard these days. And finding parts to rebuild a 280 is just as difficult. I hear a lot of people swap to a 265 Getrag transmission. Here is a link to a swap.... http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

$120 an hour that's what the dealer charges around here. So you agreed to nearly $10,000 for the following? (let me guess what hour would be on the following I don't have a service book or there might not be on these) 1) replace all front suspension parts. 10 piece set from FCP Euro including steeri...

Guess we really need to see the bill to make an assessment. M6 parts are not cheap... Try doing a timing job for under $2500... $1500 would just be parts. "Euro Evo exhaust cam gear on my '87 M6 and to do the Miller MAF conversion with War chip installation"... I have a feeling this would ...

What did it cost? I know most charge around $1200 for the service.
You can buy 3 or 4, e30/e28/e24 diffs for that money. Though it would crap shoot if they were good.
I've heard good things about diffs online also.

Ah, the M1 / M535 wheel. I sold one of those that came in a lot of parts I had. The Hub cover is kinda of strange not sure how you would fit it to a late e24/e28. But I'm sure if could be done.
