Hi Josh

Bathurst would be nice or maybe Mittagong and some of the surrounding roads. Has your beast got a/c?

Re: Shannons Auction M635CSi - $80,000 - Sydney Australia

Is that A$ or US$? Am still keeping my checkbook in my pocket either way. Ken Yep - 80,000 Australian dollars. Very nice car. Certainly puts it way ahead of prices for regular E24s here, which tend to range between $10K-$30K. I just had a look though, there are a handful of M E24s on local carsales...

Shannons Auction M635CSi - $80,000 - Sydney Australia

Hello everyone - I just saw this on Australia's Shannons Auctions website 1986 M635CSi - black, houndstooth upholstery, Hartge alloys, Brembo brakes, 89,000 miles, $80,000 - looks nice! https://www.shannons.com.au/library/images/auctions/ZV0P16BRF66QCFXB/1600x1066/1986-bmw-m635csi-coupe.jpg https://...

Re: The Green Shark enters 'one more' car show...

And this is a Dodge Phoenix - this was sold in Australia. Apparently they were imported here by Chrysler Australia as an Australian-assembled version of the American Dodge Dart. I think this is a 1960 model. phoenix 01.jpg phoenix 04.jpg Check out the push button gear selector on the right phoenix 0...

Re: The Green Shark enters 'one more' car show...

Hey Bobbo These are from a US car show I visted here in Australia a few years ago. Check out this Ford Ranchero, which I think is a 1958 model. I don't think these were ever sold in Australia. I think it looks amazing. ranchero58a.jpg ranchero58b.jpg Somehow or other this bloke has two. There's anot...

Nice work mate. I really like them.

The quality of the photographs and vehicles in your gallery is awesome.

I seriously look forward to seeing what you do with your E24, and anything other vehicles that may come along!

Agreed, it looks good, the shifter especially so. The slighter thickness suits with the leather padded shifter console - on mine that console piece is just solid plastic.

Please show us the handbrake once that's done too.

Re: The Green Shark enters 'one more' car show...

Thanks for these Mr Bobbo, I like to see car shows like this from around the world, and have always been a fan of those late 60/early 70s Stingrays. The El Camino looks very much like a 58 Ford Ranchero I saw at a US car show I visited here in Aus a few years ago - will find a picture if I can. And ...

This discussion has come up in the past with smarter minds than I putting forward some very well thought out theories, however I'm not aware of anyone having come up with a working solution.

I'm honestly not sure, but using RealOEM my right-hand drive VIN (1887217) takes me here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part?id=5362-EUR-10-1986-E24-BMW-635CSi&mg=51&sg=40&diagId=51_0449&q=51161817122 ...to part no. 51161817122. Same for you? Note also though, my interior mirror is...

Awesome! Your car looks great and I'm glad you had a good time with it out on the track. Love to see the video footage. I've had mine at a track day once, a few years ago, and it was awesome fun to be able to hammer the car to its limits in the safety of a nice, clear racetrack and without fear of g...

Nice fleet. It's actually quite surprising how small the E24 looks there against the other two vehicles.

I can't help, other than to comment that my car (86 model) has no door buzzer. I did not think these cars had that feature?

G'day classicman, Any progress on the exhaust? These cars deserve a decent rumble. No, not a member of any clubs, I'm a bit too lethargic these days. Many years ago I checked it out for a bit, but not for ages. That said though, happy to catch up for a drive around town sometime if you feel like it,...
