Call for donations

Post by bcadmin » Wed Nov 07, 2018 4:40 pm

Hi guys,

Over the years, I have started asking for donations to keep the site running in late November through December. I've decided to start earlier this year. In the past two years, I've made server moves that have allowed me to cut the yearly hosting budget in half. Although the bill is half of what it used to be, It still costs about $600/year to keep running. It's still on the high end but I'm spoiled and like to use super fast servers with ssd drives and such.

If Bigcoupe has saved you time and money this year, please take a moment to hit the Donate Button on top.

I want to be transparent in that anything I collect above the costs of the hosting fees will go towards dinners and movies with the wife.

Thank you all for using the boards. It brings me joy knowing people use it and find value in it.

Hi Brian,

Due to some tough times at home I wasn't able to donate the last two years or so but our luck has changed a little so I've sent you over a few dollars. i genuinely couldn't have kept my cars repaired and functioning if it was not for this site and the contributions of its members.

All the best and thank you for continually keeping this invaluable site up and running.

Hi Brian,

Donated today.

Many thanks for keeping this great forum going.

A "must go to" for many people and is such an invaluable source to enable the 6ixers to keep rolling.

Best.

Done. Glad to keep you in Champagne and steaks!

BTW, if you are a numbers guy, what was last year's average donation and did you go over what you needed?

I am extremely grateful for this tremendous resource you created for us all. Happily did my part to help keep this virtual home away from home running.
