I work for various auto manufacturers on events. It’s all rather tedious stuff - best not to dwell on it really.

So, what “upgrades” are we talking about, Bobbo? Sounds rather intriguing....

Well, we're sort of "working" at LotA as well, typically drumming up new members for the board, pushing PSF, that sorta thing

So, upgrades, more or less focusing more under the bonnet these days, refinishing bits and pieces that have been overlooked for a long time [-(

It's kinda funny, owning a vehicle for 29 years now, you tend to overlook things that have faded slowly over time, and you really don't realize that things could be freshened up :-"

On the wiper setup, i just replaced 3 rusted screws, now why have I overlooked them for how long :-k

Gonna have a few parts powder coated, airbox, etc., for starters [-o<

Also going to replace the hood pad for the THIRD time ](*,)

I've been using that Mylar aluminized aftermarket stuff in the past, but will probably try the type I've seen on the board, with the Roundel logo smack dab in the middle O:)

And for now, last but certainly not least, I am going to have my Throwing Star centers repainted, going with Nagaro silver, which should look very nice and compliment the Cypress Green paint, plus the factory silver is kinda boring :-$

Been looking for a source for Cloisonné Roundels for the wheels as well, if anybody knows where these can be purchased, I'd love to hear from you :-?

Sorry for highjacking this thread

Black 'G' registration (1989/90) 635CSi Highline in Woking, not far from the station - anyone on here?

There's a nice E39 Sport Touring on the driveway too.

Not many posts on this thread any more. I wonder if its due to the increasing scarcity of our cars - or the general lack of activity on this board these days.... :-k

Saturday, November 23 -- At noon, I saw a red Sixer on Russell Ranch Road in Westlake Village, CA. He was turning in the opposite direction as I exited the parking lot across the road.

A few weekends ago, a friend snapped this shot of a black 88 M6 in SF (San Francisco), interesting upgrades including M Parallel wheels and clear rear blinker and side marker lenses

License plate reads "M6BMW88" :-"

Are you hear, please be on the board [-o<

Saw this beauty in East Finchley (North London) this morning, outside a very nice looking house with a nice looking porsche parked up next to her. Only a couple of miles from mine (St Johns Wood) - owner on here?

Wow, spotted my first 6er in sleepy Gilroy

Yesterday, Tuesday January 12th, on 1st street heading east around 12:30 or so in the afternoon :-k

Appeared to be black, not sure what MY but did not have a front air dam, but was sporting M Parallel wheels, best that I could tell, and the new style black CA license plates :-"

Hopefully you're here and I will be the first to actually get a response from a board member [-o<

Spotted a shiny red M6 pulling out of the Blackhawk east gate on Camino Tassajara in Danville about 1pm today. No rear license plate and it took off quite fast with black smoke trailing behind.

Just saw my first E24 in years. Silver 628 on the main drag through Arnage @ Classic Le Mans. If it drives back, I’ll take a snap.

Can't remember the last time I saw one driving casually on the road. Only time is at cars and coffee and show events. I guess it's why people go a little silly when I take mine out

Unbelievably, I caught a glimpse of a black E24 in Lima, Peru 15th Oct. I was so slack jawed as it drove past, I couldn't take a photo of it. It did look in good nick though so was obviously cherished, and a very cool car to have in S. America. Maybe the owner might be a subscriber?
