About 7:15 AM I was turning on to Fair Oaks in Sunnyvale the quickly onto the 101 freeway onramp, only to see a dark US version 6er, possibly black, possibly dirty , sitting at the traffic light waiting her turn

As is my Friday ritual to bring out the green shark to work, she gave me the thumbs up, I waved, and off I went

Why is it I only see E24s in France???

Snapped this M635CSi at Le Mans Classic last weekend.

Saw a beautiful dark shark in the village of Seeham, Austria.

Sadly, I was inside and by the time I ran out of the hotel on to the middle of the road, it turned around a corner.
As such, I don't know the exact color or if it was a early or late example

However, seeing one in the first place still made my evening!

Saw a nice bronzit beige metallic car just like mine on Priest Drive in Tempe this weekend. Would have been just south of Southern. Gave them a honk and a wave!

This is a great thread and was just talking to someone about the rarity of E24 6ers. While I have now driven many many miles in many countries, I could count on one hand and at most on two how many I have seen just in passing. Sure a good number can be found at club meetings and drives, but in just regular traffic very few. It goes to show that a production run of 86k, while sounding like a lot, still makes them a rare breed!

Check out those wheels! Love them. Family less impressed, insisting holiday in Fort William was not about staring at cars!

I've seen probably 3-4 on the roads in the last 6 years.

Of course a few more than that if you include the enthusiasts who I have met up with at get together.

Seen many. Most recently was honked at on a Safeway parking lot by a (formerly blue, now quite sun deteriorated) 635... Happens all the time!

Only ever seen 3 others in person. A mustard yellow 633 in disrepair behind a repair shop of all places in Jax, FL. A silver 635 driving down Hwy 1 Jax, FL. And a white '88 635 for sale in Gulf Shores, AL that I tried to swoop up but was out bidded on.

...presumably in the "greater" Denver area

Appears to be an old school US version 633, perhaps an E12 based, given it looks to be running on 14" bottle caps

^^ It's E28 based, you can tell by the wheel arches and another good hint is that is has the front spoiler.

I surmise that he's quite the busy boy these days, got a new gig (job), family matters, you know the drill

It sounded like he likes it better than the old job too!

I just don't know why he couldn't make D4C this year-- he had a great time in 2013!

Spotted a female driver in a Bronzit Beige (or light grey) L6 traveling 680 north in Danville early a.m. June 7.

There are 4 in our little midwest city of Peoria,IL. A 1988 M6, my 1986 635csi a 1985 635csi and a 1988 M6 Alpina. sadly the Alpina and the 1985 are sitting outside next to a barn. The owner is in his late 60s and has about 25 various models of BMWs and Mercedes. several 2002tii, a 1979 735 with a manual trans and that one is actually in a garage with 38k miles on it. He will not sell any of them and claims that as soon as the economy turns around, his money will come in and he is going to restore all of them. I wished him the best of luck, gave him my card and said that if he ever decides to sell any of them to give me a call.

I saw a black M635CSi parked in Arnage on Saturday night.

OK, Saturday afternoon, August 5th, 2ish and Elvis was playing at Pezzella's Hot August Nights annual car show, and I see a black 6 drive by, not once, but twice

Couldn't see much of the car, shit the way the drinks were flowing, it's amazing that I could see anything

But it appeared to maybe have an Alpina rear spoiler

And the second time by, the passenger dood was hanging out of the window

Lovely dark highline I think outside Chalfont & Latimer station in Bucks yesterday. I think I've seen it there before.. got me thinking about another!

...............And there was me slowly writing a post despairing of the dearth of E24s to be seen in England (and Europe......) when I spied a very tidy Zinnoberrot (?) example just outside Uckfield in East Sussex on Sunday 18th February- registration ANC 5Y. Anybody on this board recognise -or own- it?

ANC5Y is M635CSi #027 - a very tidy Zinnober/Pearl example sold and maintained by Classic Heroes, who are based near Uckfield. The owner lives close by.

There's someone near me who has both of his 635s, one Alpine and one Zinnober worked on by a local garage.

So if your the owner of A635LGS and E114AAP, come and say "hello"!
