Okay Greg,

What do think? Fed or Djokavic? I really haven't seen any of it yet... but it would seem before the tourney started Roger's chances were pretty good. How are things looking?

Well, w/o me checking, I believe they're set to meet in the semi's?
The Joker is still the Joker but, Roger has a new style thanx to Stefan Edberg!
I tried to pattern my volleys after Stefan!
Have you seen Roger charge the service line on his opponent's second serve?
The announcers named it the 'blade' or the 'hatchet' or something like that.

Roger has been sorta re-built but, don't forget he's 33 or 34!
I love Roger but, because of his age I think his odds of winning are 80% compared to 95% for The Joker.
We can't forget Murray!
Nadal is almost finished being in the top five in the world!
Stan Wawrinka can also sneak through even though he's in the Federer shadow!
Of the players I mentioned, Nadal is the only one out.
You're just so, so busy huh?

No hadn't really noticed. I saw the highlights from that last matchup between them tho. Pretty awesome match.

I have been crazy busy... But not too busy to learn a bit more about 6ers tho. With my new phone I'm also finding it's a great way to follow the game. Just watch the highlights if they're well made and maybe look at the match statistics. You lose something without the commentary and stuff, bu I do NOT have time to watch all these 5 setters!

Roger just beat Isner in, I think 4 sets?
Do or did you play? What level?
I use to play at the 4.5 or B+ level till my knees said 'no more'!
At least I can look at my trophies & say, 'Well, at least you did that'. :D
I played a coupla tourneys at the Berkeley College campus.
We also ate at the Citadel and Yoshi's.

I just watched some old time (20 years) friends play a tourney I use to play in.
Good to re-visit with them! Generally, they're about ten years younger than me.
I don't usually hang out with people my age. In general they have given up & are too old.
We use to play hard & try to take our opponent's head off, sort of.
When I was playing I use to say, "I'll kick your ass now & buy you a beer later!"
They felt the same so it was kool!
If I lost the first set, I would say, "Did you bring your lunch, 'cause we'll be here all day till I when the next two!"
We always played best two out of three sets. I also played USTA semi-weekly round robins.
So many parties & found memories! =D>
We use to talk about the party last night & someone's trip to the Bahamas.
Now it's about Type 2 Diabetes or our knee or hip replacements!!
At least we're above ground so we can talk about things, huh?

Helluva match that final. Couldn't help feel bad for Fed losing another tight major final, even though he has had plenty. Good call on your part, but yeah that was a real tight match and you have to admit could have gone either way. In fact a lot of the stats people pointed to showed Fed having a higher over all level of play, just came down to break points converted/lost as it often does in the tight matches. What a record though, incredible. And I'm so glad these two, and guys like Nadal have made the game exciting for me to watch again. After Boris Becker retired I lost interest for a really long time, I was a huge Becker fan growing up.

I totally miss the old serve and volley game of old...Points just take too loooong now. Shows how good these guys are though. One step in the wrong direction or a misplaced shot gone short ......passed.

YUP! Partly because of the new strings & rackets too!
Have you noticed Feds new style?
Also, him running in to the service line on his opponent's 2nd serve?
It's called his 'S.A.B.R.' Meaning,' Sudden Attack By Roger'!
I finally figured it out!

I think we all feel for Roger but, he's living on sorta borrowed time.
He really wanted his kids to see what he did for a nice living.
Great motivation, huh?

Although I like 'The Joker's' personality & on-court demeanor,
I think we all love & respect 'The Fed' for his gentlemanly way.
I like to think I was a combo of both! I had fun but,
I wanted to take my opponent's head off & then buy us a beer later! 8)
