Guys,

I started the Friday Tits Day thread in order to admire some non Automotive related Headlights.

Well, what was a tit shot here and there has grown into a beast. As Ive mentioned in the past, the thread gets hit more by non BC members than anything.

Morally, I felt as though I was hosting a softcore porn site. It's purely a moral issue for me and because of this, I have taken the thread down.

I'm sure I'm going to hear some groans but it's something I no longer felt right about hosting.

Of course, Brian as our great leader can do it if he sees fit (and I will continue to contribute to the site's upkeep), Friday's are just a bit grayer (snowing outside as we speak). The balance is between upkeep, reading others' woes, unrequited automotive love and the beautiful (even if augmented) human form.
Well once again into the fray to get my 6 roadworthy for the spring!

+1. Support your position. To me personally it always felt out of place on a knowledge based car forum. I liked the more genuine real life pics but the constant stream of posed and staged professional pics put me off checking each new post.

No worries Brian, you did the right thing.

Well, I liked the more authentic real life pics too, but the pro pics never made me reluctant to check the posts EVERY friday! It was a thread all it's own and with appropriate warning for people that may be offended NOT to open the damn thing. I wouldn't open it in front of my family, but I'm not so tightened up as to be offended by it or insist that if I didn't want to see it that everybody else shouldn't either. Other car sites have similar threads, most not done as tastefully as this one. But if bfons feels a personal, moral objection to continue I certainly support his decision. The thread will be missed...

No complaints from me. You do what you believe is right. This web site is a FANTASTIC community focused to be a knowledge resource, and that is why I come here. Not for ogling boobies. There is plenty of that all over the internet for everyone.

I will miss the boobies also. Friday's won't be the same but since I check the site every day to read the interesting posts and to learn about how to keep my 6'er in top shape it won't change my viewing habits. If you felt it was an issue that needed to address I support your decision.

It is of course your site Brian. I didn't see any harm in it though and certainly didn't view it myself as soft porn.

i always thought kind a funny that a german car site is so flipped up about boobs, just boobs, boobs, there is more,
germans are all about sex, you get of the plane in germany you can smell it, see it, even have it, it is legal, so..
Dedicating a thread just for tits does not fit, seemed kind off ..hmm.. Verklemmt,

Judging by the above, one could be persuaded that you have some other issues Personally, I worship the female form. Always have and always will.

For no other reason than the prospect of female members / posters, I applaud your decision - I'm old fashioned

I was a happy man when the Thread started and happy enough as it progressed along; that said, some of the later pics were becoming near the knuckle so I'm equally happy to drop the Thread. Well done Brian, total support for you here.

That is a great idea. It would be interesting to know how many female members we have and what ages our members are. Maybe a poll with age categories by decade would be easiest?
