We'll have to wait for ricky to respond. I can't answer your questions.

Interesting to see there are still 6 of us running metrics.

And also interesting that four people are on 14" wheels, they must have a magic carpet ride.

Ride height.

There are air bag suspension applications that offer similar performance of a standard spring/coilover suspension; however, what I have fitted to my car is more for the aesthetic of the extreme stance. It still handles very well, but is not intended for high-performance driving.

So suspension selected and fitted more for the reasons of static pictures?Rickytickytavvy wrote:Ride height.

Re: What diameter wheels are you running on your E24?
I've driven E24s with all bar 13", 19" and 20" sizes and of those sizes I've driven, I've used most of them longer term on my own vehicles.
I'm currently running non-staggered 17" wheels and tyres but I wouldn't say no to a decent set of 15" or 16" wheels/tyres eiher; the 17" ones are a little harsh on some surfaces.
A good reason for choosing 17" wheels is that tyres (with the correct speed and load ratings) are relatively easy to source and not that expensive. I think that in the applicable 15"/16" sizes, this is not the case.
cheers

Not pictures exclusively, but for me it's mostly aesthetic/appearance reasons that I like the airbag suspension. I'm not the type to race around in the car or carve corners, I just enjoy driving it around town and to car shows. Air bags allow me to drop it to the height that I think looks great, and allows me to bring the car back to a good looking and practical driving height as well.
