Thank you. My wife did not divorce me on the spot... Let's see how things turn out. The "investment value" is something I have started positioning as a way to continue to play.

Bring one of your cars to Cars and Coffee in Lafayette tomorrow. A bunch of the local Bimmer guys are going. Google "Cars and Coffee" Lafayette for info.

This is my take also.
It is true they are an investment if u purchase the correct car at the correct time.

The only one I'll do poorly on is the m3. I bought it when it was 5yrs old (on finance as a work car) and modifying it as a track car and an engine rebuild/upgrade I rekon in down the toilet on it close to 6 figures more than what it's worth today but I've had fun in it.

2002's are definelty keepers and one of the few classics that enhance their value if tastefully modified so enthusiasts like us can make them significantly better than original which makes them far more enjoyable to drive.

Looks like you did just that with yours, I am impressed: 1974 2002 5spd M10, S14 crank (2307cc), 9.8:1,dual DCOE45, 300deg cam, LSD. Wow.

Right now I don't need another project, so it will stay at is for a while. Once the 635 project is over, we'll see :)

Car is sound. A few minor dings, very little rust, sound body, engine and transmission, very clean interior, but nothing really "exciting" quite yet. Been resprayed in a couple areas, definitely not to my standards. At this point, it's the kind to drive leisurely, enjoying the relaxed experience. Not a sports car. We'll see what the future entails! No rush!

Sorry, had family plans this morning, not an option, but yes I have been there once and it's really nice. I will go next time I am free.
Thank you

I had no chice in fixing it as most of the mechanical items were done but just executed poorly and not working in sync with one another.

Yes I also have a bit of a psychological condition that makes me mess with things. I want all my cars to be setup like a BMW version of the Porsche gt3. Even my dirty big landrover d3 has increased -ve camber and a reflashed tune.

We need to se some pics of this 2002. Sounds like a great find
