Kind of the opposite of norm.
Is there anything worth importing from the States?

£/$ rate!
$1.50 = £1 July.................now $1.22
But if you're thinking of shipping in a container, maybe some of us could be interested as well?
Where are you located?

I'm currently in New England but moving to Cumbria and might get a 20' container for my tools and other household wares

Now it makes sense. I thought you were looking to import stuff to the UK and paying in pounds. I didn't realise you are American!
Well, in my experience, the USA seems to have cheaper BMW parts than we can get over here. Now that the £ has fallen against the $ and €, it will be even more the case.
If I were you, I'd bring as much over as you can - it'll save you a fortune! Please remember that our electrical supply is 240 volts.
