Couple of days ago I put down a deposit on one of these puppies (in Topaz Blue). It was love at first sight (and drive) and it is planned to be my daily driver.

No, one like that, minus bar and in RHD. The car comes with lots of CSL bits but is not a CSL. I'm going to keep it stock but may look to some engine improvements into the future.

Updated with images of actual car. Picked her up yesterday. All I can say is.................

SMGII gearbox which has taken some learning to drive correctly (but I now like, best of both worlds). Pristine except for some minor sun damage, will be tidying this up. BMW head unit (all but useless noughties tech) will go. Ordered one of the better Chinese Android units. Harmon Kardon 12 speaker system surprisingly good, but may splice in a bass amp. All notoriously breakables (clutch/pressure plate, Vanos, SMG solenoid), have been replaced. Rear sub frame has no cracking what so ever.

I wear a mile wide grin every time I drive this car.

Beautiful car. SMG is the way to go.

I would love to have one. Even looked into one for the wife, but we really needed a wagon. Honestly, we can only afford one //M in the family anyway. Take good care of it and don't let anything deteriorate. Fix it immediately or things can get real ugly ($$$$), real fast.

Man I sure would like one of those in red, though.

Thanks guys. Took her out for a spin last weekend. Drove up into the Perth hills to the Peter Brock memorial. Not sure if you furriners know of the late great Peter Brock. Legendary Australian racing ace of the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s. He died near this spot in 2006 whilst competing in a Targa race.

Awesome impulse buy mate! We love our E24s, no doubt about that, but its gonna be hard to slip back into the Sixer when you've got that machine tempting you in the driveway.

I did not know that memorial to Peter Perfect was there - thanks for the pic!
