I'm sure it was not easy. Your taking pictures as she rides away shows your attachment.

That is such a beautiful car. Sad to see it go but perhaps the new owner may pay us a visit.

Hey Ron,
I know how you feel.
I sold my 1988 911 two weeks ago after 13 years also!
(but now I have upgraded to a 635!!!)
Deep breath, then find the next thing!

Re: After 13 years!!
Well done, Ron! Quality motors always sell well eventually. I'm looking forward to seeing what you buy next
Re: After 13 years!!
Oh wow .... that does make me sad.
I've had mine almost 10 years and don't plan on ever selling it. Of course I wanted that specific car since I was 17.

Re: After 13 years!!
Ron, Congrats and condolences, obviously a bitter sweet experience. That was beautiful car and a really quality build on your part. Who ever bought it got great a car.
Re: After 13 years!!
Wow...talk about timing, haven't been on over Christmas so didn't realise you had moved her on.
I am currently in similar situation & subsequently changing my mind as what to do on a daily basis.
Have my '81 628 since 2004, basically twelve years of trouble free motoring bar a faulty ignition resistor in November
replaced & back to perfect motoring. Sailed through NCT (MOT equiv) before Christmas not even a visual to address.
Recently I got a '90 635 HL, totally different kettle of fish from a Series 1, however am mad about both cars in different ways...
Unfortunately old saying of 'don't use them & you loose them' has been playing on my mind hence as whether I should
be moving on the '81. Let my Road King go couple of years back & still regret it (not that I could chance riding it anymore)
Health wise (MS) won't afford me the luxury of taking them out often enough, but couldn't let the 635
slip through my fingers...
So just curious Ron kicking yourself it's gone? or just time for next experience...
Cheers, Paul
