The Green Shark enters 'one more' car show...

Post by GRNSHRK »

So I decided to sneak in to lurker Pat's (ONEBADM) car show at Ames Research Center next to Moffett field, here in the South Bay

Lots of other stuff taking place as well, including a chili cook-off, be careful what you wish for :-&

There weren't a lot of cars, 3 dozen, maybe 40, but since I had my camera, I decided to snap away O:)

First up, of course, are the 6ers, along with the only "other" German vehicle in attendance 8-[

That giant thing behind us is a 12 foot wind tunnel

More to follow, as usual #-o

Thanks for these Mr Bobbo, I like to see car shows like this from around the world, and have always been a fan of those late 60/early 70s Stingrays.

The El Camino looks very much like a 58 Ford Ranchero I saw at a US car show I visited here in Aus a few years ago - will find a picture if I can.

And I visited a Thunderbird Concours here in Canberra over the weekend. I only took pictures of one car though, belonging to a friend, a member of this forum actually, check out this interior...!

Nice Ellis =D>

Love how the dash wraps around \:D/

Glad to hear that you guys from other parts of the world like to see these pix, really never sure, since it's not always 6er related :-k

motroman, you would had to have been the list prior, as you cannot just "drive" into Ames Research Center [-X

This is a NASA research facility which requires a day pass to enter, amongst other things

Anyhoo, I see that you're in SF, so we should try and get something together in the bay area, although we're about to enter the rainy season [-(

Hey Bobbo

These are from a US car show I visted here in Australia a few years ago.

Check out this Ford Ranchero, which I think is a 1958 model. I don't think these were ever sold in Australia. I think it looks amazing.

Somehow or other this bloke has two. There's another one next to it in white yet to be restored.

And this is a Dodge Phoenix - this was sold in Australia. Apparently they were imported here by Chrysler Australia as an Australian-assembled version of the American Dodge Dart. I think this is a 1960 model.
