So I'm going through a box of my stuff which I moved intact and didn't even bother to look inside before moving it
I came across this strange looking knife, thought at first it was a clamming knife, for shucking clams
But it does have a name on it, Simav Napoli, so I did a Google search, and came to find out that it's a WWII Italian Navy sailor's knife
Kinda cool, but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what a couple of these blades are for
I also saw a few for sale on flea bay for $40 and $50, yikes
Anyhoo, bored like the rest of us, stuck at home, so I thought I'd share

Re: Amazing what you find unpacking AFTER moving...
Hey Bobby - How are things in Paso/SLO..
The curved pointy fold out is known as a Marlins Spike. Sailors and Yachtsmen multi-tool used for rigging and splicing rope/line as well as tying nautical knots. The 2 prong fold out could be used as a Shackle Bolt Remover and Can-opener.
I’ve used similar tools when I was in the Sea Scouts in Monterey in my youth 50 some odd years ago...

Hey Dug, check out that we moved to Gilroy, not Paso, not that far south
Interesting possible uses for this knife, but I still think it could be used for shucking clams
BTW, I was a boy scout myself, went all the way to Eagle
Hope you guys are well

Thought perhaps as a Eagle Scout you may also be a member of Order of the Arrow...
The arrow Q is one way for members to identify one another asking and answering this correctly..
Sounds a bit Korny I know.

OK, got it, and yes, was a member of the Order of the Arrow as well
Don't recall much else, as that was a LONG time ago
I did find a bunch of scout stuff as well too, merit badges and whatnot, including my eagle award

Re: Amazing what you find unpacking AFTER moving...
Never made it to Eagle. Missed it by one merit badge and two months, much to my shame. I was Brotherhood OofA, WoaCholena Lodge 322. And that was a LONG time ago. Boy Scouts were a huge part of my growing up. I even sponsored an Explorer Post for years.
