Brooklands Sharkfest 10th July 2005 - who's going?

Post by UKDaveJ »

This is going to be a FANTASTIC meet, I was there last year, along with MrBrook'fest organiser James Sohl, aka 'Sohlman', as were;

Brucey, ron, Horsetan, Kevs635csi - apologies if you are a forum member & were there, I've forgotten! :oops:

Can the UK guys (not excluding anybody from any other countries BTW!) on this forum indicate whether they will be there.....;

Definitely, definitely NOT, unsure.

I am a definite.

Brian, this will be a good chance to promote this forum to others who havn't yet joined - if you have any stickers or such like we can stick on our cars & help recruitment & in turn hopefully the knowledge base!

Cheers :D

Do i reeally need to answer this one.

I will be there from about 7:30 setting things up. Going to be a very busy day and with all the other cars comming could be up to 600 cars that will have to be found space for.

It will be at the Brooklands Museum of Transport and Aviation

As the event is being held on a Sunday, it clashes with

it is VERY unlikely that I'll be there this year, unless Rory lets me off...

Also, since there are going to be anything up to 400 BMWs of various ages and models, there might be the odd traffic control problem as the day develops..... :lol:

Its not that far Rich, it gives your car a good run anyway! I'm in Bromsgrove, so about the same distance as you. Its only a couple of hours.
Hope you'll be coming down!

I have had a print design made and have some t-shirts being made as we speak. I have ordered 20 medium, 20 large and 20 extra large. They will be available on the day on a first come first serve bases. You get this little nugget of information here first.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this years Sharkfest at Brooklands.
No bull, here's why;

1) My lad (Chris) is playing drums with 'his' band at the British F1 GP at Silverstone that day,

2) Check out the pics of my Highline taken tonight - it aint going to be ready by then! (WELL I WOULD POST THEM BUT THIS REPLY WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO ADD IMAGES OFF MY H/DRIVE FOR SOME STRANGE REASON.......)

Still rocovering from last years sun burn. Am praying to the sun gods at the moment as it could not be any worse weather wise at the moment.

See you all there.

I think the sun gods may have taken notice James!!
My car is coming on well, but 100% will not be ready for tomorrow.

Sorry about your car Feck - do you know any good garages in Surrey you could be 'taking it' to for the work to be done...... :wink: :)

Well all i can say is that i started the day at 7:30 am at Brooklands and left at 5.00pm very sunburn't.

I believe the temperature was 29 degrees.

Next year might be at a different venue. Thinking of using BMW UK's help to celebrate the sixes 30th Birthday. Perhaps Rockingham!!!!.
