Goodwood 7th November - Deutsch Marques Breakfast Meeting

Post by JohnRogers »

I have just registered for the 7th November Breakfast Meeting at Goodwood Circuit. I am not sure if bad weather will be a problem. However the meeting I attended June last year was pretty good - see image.
If any body is interested, registration is at https://www.goodwood.co.uk/breakfast-cl ... -form.aspx

i am definitely intending to go to this. I am getting the front spoiler refurbished at the moment so the B9 will be ready for goodwood. Would be great to park the e24s next to each other. Is this possible?

The organisers are very helpful but there could be big differences between our arrival timings - which makes co-ordination more difficult. When we get nearer to the date and know how many might come, we can ask to be allocated to a spot. However it is essential to register (free) in advance. (Of course attendance is free).

I have registered. Look forward to being in touch nearer the time. There's an Alpina contingent going too, but I fancy getting the 6's together if we can.

Piston Heads are planning a run down to the 7th November Goodwood Breakfast meet aiming to start at 7.30am from Guildford Cathedral. They are an all makes activity but I understand that there will be a BMW group. I am not sure yet whether I will try to join them. I am following the postings at...

John, my M635 is back on the road after the summer's paint job and I have put myself down for this. Sounds like it may be tricky to coordinate travelling down / arrival but would be good if we can. Pray for decent weather. Will be good to meet up having missed all the summer events.
I will try to paste how the car is now looking below - but not used to this forum yet!

Stunning sight. Well done. Really looking forward to seeing your M6.

For 7th November probable plan will be to get to Guildford Cathedral by 7.30 to hopefully meet some Z4's along with general Piston Heads crowd.

Jon, it looks great with its new Misano red paint job.

I'm away that weekend so can't join in.

Latest ideas on getting to Goodwood are to meet up by 8.00am at the BP service station on the A3 just south of J10 M25 (GU23 6PU) and try to go down as a group. So hope to see you there ? or at Goodwood.

A successful event. There were seriously large numbers of cars and people attending what is a free meeting. Weather was cold but stayed dry so I managed to last until 11am. I saw 8 E24?s?. 5 M6?s, 1 Alpina and 2 CSi?s. Star attraction was the arrival of Jon Sedgwick with his new full re-spray. Most impressive. Also attending was BMW UK with their museum piece D400NGH which shows only 7,700 miles. The driver told me they keep it in a conservation bubble. So very unusual to see it driving. Other M6?s were G132HCK and F311MNR plus me. Alpina was POT37G. CSi?s were E480SAV and F389EDV. Anybody know these owners? Unfortunately I did not bump into Ron.

Mine was the Alpina (with the silly number plate that will be going soon).

I wish I'd seen the BMW UK car! I missed half the cars you mention even though I was there 8:30 til gone 12. The grid seemed to clear rather quickly. I missed the Z8 and (so I heard) Zonda and two Gullwings for example.

Chatted to the owner of a dark metallic CSi on 15" Alpinas though. He promised to join bigcoupe asap!
