Gaydon? Well it seems that BMW Car Club have not created an E24 parking zone at Gaydon this year. Phone calls to the office offer “6 Seriesâ€

I think the club does need to focus more on regions but at the same time cars like ours should be given a spot at gaydon should we want it

Anyway, I'll give you a call as we are due a catch up :D

Bob Gray has identified that there is a Service area at Junction 2, M40. Post code is HP9 2SE.

So we are now proposing to meet there and drive together to Junction 10 Services. The distance is about 42 miles so journey time is about 45 minutes (possibly quite a bit less :D ). So we will leave J2 at 8.15 to arrive at J10 by 9.00 am.

If you would like to join us for a longer drive, meet us at J2. Or see u at J10.

Jim.....welcome. Gaydon can be attended by non members. However the deadline for parking zone tickets is upon us. So I suggest you phone the Car Club office first thing Monday at 01970 267 989 and ask for a 6 Series / E24 ticket.
Regards, John Rogers

Thank you John, I've now been informed by the wife that we have friends visiting the night before so that's scuppered it for me now. Never been to Gaydon and really wanted to go. Maybe next year. Enjoy the show.

Thanks

The Car Club have just now emailed their final list of cars attending Gaydon. They are showing 10 E24 plus 7 6 Series - presumably not E24s. They have asked that each register handles their own marshalling. Could whoever arrives first do the usual thing (straight lines / noses outwards  )
Last year their records were wrong. We may have more than 10 E24s.

One of the E24s the Car Club has earmarked for display is my car, but due to work obligations I'm very sorry to say that I will be unable to attend.

V good news. James Sohl is hoping to join us at J2 M40 (HP9 2SE ) by 8.15 for convoy onwards.
His E24 is at the brake hospital. So he will come in his other car .... a 420bhp Monaro. Oz muscles.

I'll be there in my beast. Not a six but spiritually very similar and has similar cult status down under. Looking forwards to see some of you again. Been a while

Even more good news. David Muench confirms that he is hoping to be at Gaydon. It is great to hear that the challenges with his car have been cleared.

Nice to meet up with old friends and meet some new faces.

Sixes where in fantastic condition and a credit to both current and previous custodians.
