Everybody was interested to see Gavin Spencer's car. And Gavin was mostly interested in removing all the dirt and dust from the drive to Gaydon. Andy Scott and Harry in the back ground.

Mike McCourts brought his amazing 635 pickup conversion. It really is a most impressive sight. The front is entirely unmodified and the rear has been converted with most elegant taste. The detailing is superb and the finish in the cabin exactly like the original.

Harry Bains (right) with David Muench. David has achieved an amazing repair to his gear box. We need to get the full story from him.

Magnificent photos , thanks for sharing them.
Looks like a wonderful day was had by all.
All the cars look fantastic but the pick up really warrants a write up , is the owner on here ?

Darren Teagles of BMW Car Club has now published an excellent collection of images at https://www.flickr.com/photos/bmwccgb/s ... 7069041809

Below is an aerial view of the site with the E24 parking at centre of far left. Also a clip from a larger image of some of the E24 group.

Hello all,

I've been looking at the pictures from Gaydon with interest.

I'm writing a 12-page front cover feature for Classic Cars magazine, celebrating 40-years of the BMW 6-Series, and I'm looking for the following variants to take part:

633

628

635 E12

635 E24

Alpina B9 - (CAR ALREADY SOURCED)

M635 - (CAR ALREADY SOURCED)

I've provisionally booked Chobham (Longcross) Proving Ground in Surrey on Tuesday, September 15 for the shoot.

It'd be a full day but you'll be treated to lunch, fuel expenses will be covered and you will receive a copy of the magazine and a DVD with all the photographer's images (for your own personal use).

In addition, you'll be interviewed about what it's like to own your model and have a chance to leisurely spin your car around the private test track.

If you're interested in having your car included, then please feel free to contact me on the E-mail address or telephone numbers below.

Best wishes,

Ross Alkureishi
