Damn it, sod work - I'm in :D I'll bring whatever heap is in roughly one piece as long as Ron keeps his distance and doesn't try to flog me another - the driveway already looks cluttered - Brucey - do you still need a bit of back bumper????

Provisional only. Depends on my work load.

Also, my car has deteriorated a bit  in the wheelarch and roof areas since the last time out, and I'm waiting for an acquaintance to tell me when he can fit the car into his workshop schedule.

Think I need to charge my clients a bit more. :P Or become an MP and try to palm this type of thing off on expenses. :x

I still have the glass, though. Drank some cognac out of it recently. My throat's still burning.

I'm up for this too.

Just got married so have been out of the loop for a bit, but i am sure wifey will let me off for good behaviour.

My six is also suffering a bit due to nearly 2 years without being used, but it's back in regular use.

Just need to sort out my sills which are starting to show there age.

No I don't, but very kind of ye to offer. Another reclaimed wheelarch (n/s/r this time) would help, though

I've put far too much time and money into my '83 over the past 12.5 years to be throwing it away in favour of another car now. It has gone way past economic sense and has joined the realms of sentimentality.....or, if you prefer, mentality.

I would suggest expanding the post out to other BMW forums. BMW CC GB etc

That is how i got good numbers up when i was organising events.

I am not doing many events this year, but will put the word out as much as possible.

I am a BMWCC member but I use this forum in preference to the BMWCC one.

If we get more enthusiastic BigCoupe-ers joining here by advertising elsewhere I don't view this as a bad thing. Life's too short for 'them and us-ness'...

Agree with Brucey on this one which was why i suggested it.

The more people that come and support the better and there will be many owners of sixes that don't know about this forum. By opening doors it will encourage more members. I now don't use other forums much anymore as i like this one best. However it can still be seen as a Bigcoupe event.

Just my thoughts.

Hi

to brucey and sohlman

I have listed this on big coupe for big coupe members,
i am not against bmw gb club, but seeing as i am the one who is organising this, paying up front, sorting out passes, etc etc, i want to keep it to the big coupe members,
in 2007 it was a bloody pain in the **** having the others from bmw club, having to phone, email and chase up, for they payment.

so when steve and i spoke a couple of days ago about this, he said no, not after the headache in 2007 (never again, was his words), so i thought i would do it.

but if you are not happy with how i am organising this, then please someone else take over, and i will happily send steve's money for his pass, and sit back and enjoy :D
thanks

agh, it is a rotten task to organise this kind of event to be sure; don't think it goes un-noticed and unappreciated....

I'm sure there will always be some so-and-sos who don't pay when they say they will. But if we have good numbers to start with then maybe it is a bit easier to simply say 'no' to them.

Just a thought, not trying to make your unduly awkward...

cheers

Nor me.

I have organized over 80 events and know how hard they are. I have always tried to ensure payments occur at the gate as i have personally been stung a couple of times. For example when i organized Brooklands it cost me over ?250 which was never recovered.

My suggestion was merely to inform that something was going on.

I have backed out of events over the last two years due to work and personal commitments and stood down from the BMW Car Club as coupe chairman. Prior to that i did 5 years. I just want to support what you are doing.
