brake fluid loss

...have some fluid on floor mat...crawled under but no sign of leakage at least at slave cylinder so i must be looking at wrong place.
any ideas. thanks john...wait so it must be coming from up above at ???? thanks again

Brake master cylinder or clutch master cylinder if it's a manual. On mine it was the clutch MC, even though the clutch continued to work. Pain in the butt to change, but cured the 'brake fluid in the floor' problem.
