suspension techniques springs

Post by zinnocoupe »

I've seen some used ST springs for e28/e24 for sale locally and wondered about the price/availability of new ones. I just checked STs website and they don't list springs for our cars. Did they just stop making them recently? Any insight would be appreciated. Parts like springs I'm a bit leary of buying used as I'm not sure exactly what I'm getting, I mean a spring just looks like a spring unless you know what they look like new or have a part number on them. I'm interested in ST spring as I see they have a slightly smaller drop than some of the other ones like H&R

Thx for the suggestion, this from vogtlands wbsite:
Want that wedge drop?
Lowering the car more at the front than in the back provides an aggressive appearance and race car look. Spring sets with only two springs for the front axle. Looks good and reasonably priced!
Sounds a little silly to me.

I also didn't see anywhere on their website how to find if they make springs for a certain vehicle. ( namely the e24)

Anyone have any experience with these?

They are used in the e28 community. Here is a link to a post on mye28.com. If they fit an e28 they will fit your '87 e24.
