power steering hoses

Post by bobsm6 »

My power steering hoses are leaking and I need to find some new or used hoses on my 88 M6. Willing to listen to any suggestion as I am having trouble locating them. Thanks for your help.

Look at realoem.com to find the BMW part numbers, then go shopping for the part at https://www.fcpeuro.com/ . Everything FCP Euro sells comes with a lifetime warranty, and they can get any OEM part if you have the number. Alternate sources would be pelicanparts.com, or bavauto.com .

Unless an M6 is different then an CSI, I was able to get all new hoses, thru either BMW or aftermarket for my '88 a year ago..

If nothing else you can get a hose shop to make you some up... the only one that will be an issue is the one with the restictor in it, nobody seems to be able to source that restictor..

Problem is the restricter as Pete said. You can always cut the one from your present line. However none of the hose shops I went to had a crimping die that could clamp the exterior covering over the restricter to the hose. I bought that one new. As to the low pressure side, bring your existing hose to a Parker store and have them remove the end and crimp a new hose to it.
