E24/28 Suspension

Post by GregNZ »

I know this will have been covered before but would appreciate some feedback.

I am upgrading the suspension on my 635 here in NZ and can get very little useful advice (or product) from local suppliers. I will probably have to import what I want. -

My current thinking is to run with the Bilstein B8 and H&R Sport springs - dropping the car @ 1.25 inches I believe.

Has anyone else done this on a stock 635 and how was the result? Did you need to do anything else for the set up?

I am a little concerned regarding affect on camber etc.

I like a tight buttoned down ride and taught handling but don't want to end up driving brick.

By the way, if anyone does know local suppliers here in NZ who will even respond to a query - please let me know.

Thanks guys

Hi GregNZ,

There's been a lot of talk about suspension, you can scroll down and see lots of posts.

With an alignment the front camber will be ok but the rear you will eventually have wheel wear so maybe look into an adjustable camber kit.

Here's one post, almost half way down the page:

Good luck on your choice
