Brake booster (bomb) replacement

Post by Grapedude »

So I've jumped in the deep end and pulled the M90 out of my RHD 1981 E12chassis 635CSI... with a project to rebuild engine and make it go faster..just like everyone else. However the glaringly obvious thing is, now the engine is out the Twin brake boosters (one for the front and one for the front and back brakes) take up much room, are old tech and there is an octopus of pipes and valves. Has anyone replaced this system with something smaller, easier or better? I have seen remote boosters available for various race car type outfits but they are specific as to the amount of vaccum they need and assistance they give..are there any tech numbers for the e12/24 boosters regarding this?
regards

Check Carl’s website out, I believe he came up with a solution on getting rid of the booster...
