Power to weight ratio....
Has anyone messed with cutting weight of there 6? To help out the power to weight ratio better... Maybe like lighter parts etc! Thanks Tim

You could replace the power seats with non-electric examples. Some chap was trying to sell GRP front wings over here a couple of years ago which were meant to be 50% lighter. But why bother?

Was kinda thinking how Porsche 911's make the power to weight ratio work for them. If anyone had tried to do the same on their 6... I know there are aluminum control arms, but what else for un-sprung weight, or even chassis. Thanks Tim

I used the aluminum control arms when I did a front end suspension refresh a few years ago and noticed a significant improvement in the sharpness of the steering. I used HD bushings and replace all wear components and ball joints at the same time...so no way to tell which component contributed the most to the improvement.
I suppose you could lighten the car a little by replacing the spare with a small doughnut... our buy towing insurance and remove the tire and jack altogether :).

Lightweight wheels
Aluminium arms as noted above
Ditch the aircon completely
Full aftermarket exhaust including ditch the factory exhaust manifold
Factory airbox and AFM delete
Replace the viscous and existing aux fan with a light weight single unit
Remove sunroof ( I haven't done that)
No need to cart around 5 l of window washer fluid
Remove the headlight washers
Remove all junk from boot, including tools in boot lid
Stereo delete (haven't done that)
Replace electric seats as noted above
2 piece rotors (aluminium hats)
Run on empty (wouldn't recommend that)
They raced @ around 2600 lbs (1180kg). You would need to turn it into a tin can to achieve that
