Steering u-joint

Since I have the steering box out of my '88 U.S. M6, I want to replace the steering shaft u-joint. Problem is that mine is a double u-joint with the flex disc built in. I can't seem to find a new one. Any ideas?

I don't remember exactly what the part looks like, but flex disks are disposable. On more than one car I have fixed the steering linkage where the joint itself was OK. I ground off the rivets holding things together, and replaced the disk with a generic piece from a local parts store kit.

Well yes - I could do that, but my u-joint only moves well in one direction. Probably better to change the whole thing while the box is on the work bench.

Ok then,

If the whole thing is shot, you are looking for part number 32311150491.

ECS tuning shows that they can get you the part by the 18th.

If ECS can't get it, then look for suppliers to the race car community. Although couplers for racing will not have the damper. They will be fixed, and transmit more road feel.
