How choose a good oil for an M30 engine.

Good evening. Been lurking for quite a while. I finally bought myself a e24 last month. I will do a proper intro post later. While reading through posts trying to make a decision on what oil to get, I happened upon a post from another forum providing some additional info for anyone who wants to check it out (it's pretty lengthy!!!)
