SI board remote batteries
Hi everyone, The cad batteries on my SI board are dead. Has anyone hooked up a remote battery system where you can change the batteries without tearing up the dash. Thanks, Ron
Here is the write-up in the BigCoupe Tech section, but unfortunately, the links to the photo's showing the earlier SI boards are broken. The only thing shown is to the later boards on the next page.

Chris,
I found a source for the 3V Sanyo # CR14250SE with solder pins.

You also can get them locally (no shipping) if you have a BatteriesPlus Store; and they will solder them on the board for you if you want. Here is a store locator:

Hi Chris,
The Batteries Plus on line store, the Sanyo CR14250SE, cannot be ordered on line, and it is not listed.
I called them, and you have to special order it from your local BP store.
The location closest to me will take an order over the phone, but they cannot do the soldering.

Jay,
Try the BP store on Imperial Hwy in Brea/Fullerton (?) as they did my SI board for me. It was an overnight job as they wanted to "condition" the batteries (charge them overnight) before installing. Job done and shipped back to me in the High desert for less than $20.
