Hey guys, I've been trying to pull out my wiper motor and I'm stuck on the last step... described as "moving the wiper assembly out of the way".
I don't see how to get the last part that's holding the motor in place lose. Also showed it to someone at the tool library here and he had no idea either (made me feel better about a potential greenhorn mistake :)

You're saying that "Z" arm is not attached to the arm that
disappears under the body & held in place with a circlip?
Does the tri-angle plate rotate out of the way?
I'm guessing you used a flashlight?

Yup. I just did it today. Stick two screwdrivers (err, prybars) in there, one on each side, and push upwards. It's stuck on there with 30 years worth of corrosion.
If you're still struggling with this and would feel more comfortable spending some money to do it "right" than prying it off with screwdrivers, it looks like this tool may work:
Lisle Battery Terminal and Wiper Arm Puller, $25 at BavAuto.
