M6 pn for two coolent sensors

Post by jcburk »

Does anyone have hand the part number and locations (top/bottom) for the two sensors on the side of the E24 M6? Real OEM shows a single sensor and mine most definitely has two. I just installed a new aluminum radiator and was thinking I would replace these as well. Not sure if the placement is really critical.

Thanks in advance,

John

Ok, the ETM indicates that one these is a A/C temperature switch and the other is a Dual Coolant Temperature switch.

Jay,

I should have been more clear, the question concerns the two sensors on the side of the radiator. Real OEM shows only one sensor:

Bottom of the REALOEM parts list indicates second sensor for AC (if equipped). That's the one you're missing - they should have numbered it 16.

So, what are the temperature sensors on the coolant pipe on the side of the motor?

Real OEM shows three sensors and I clearly only have two. If I wanted to replace my two sensors what two of the three shown on Real OEM would I need?
