I am new here. I wanted to ask...Don't know if I am in the wrong topic, if so. Please relocate!
1990 735i, but I have the M30B35 which I guess you guys are all used to.
My cat converter is shot. I truly don't want to buy a new one. I seem to have two pipes, even though it is a straight 6. I was going to slice my cat off, and splice in two pipes, has anyone attempted this here?
Also. my 02 sensor, it is before the cat..None after it! SO I am good, no CEL will come on. Mine is kind of in the middle of the cat, sort of!
I don't want to just relcate it to one pipe, I think it needs to read all 6 cylinders? I am lost on this part too.

Hello,
welcome,
Cat converter replacing with two pipes is a excellent idea, done that on my six,
Sensor will be fine in one of the pipes,
Good luck
