Had a new no start issue out of nowhere on my e24. Car would start but immediately die, so I'll call it a no start. Started looking at all electrical, everything connected as it should be. Started with vacuum lines, everything good. Next checked ICV, it was vibrating, but then I noticed it was loose in it's fitting. The bottom of the rubber holding it in place had broken. This caused excess movement and the vacuum line off the bottom was basically not connected.
By far the easiest no start I have ever run across on an old e30 or e24.
