Cold start good - won't run on all 6 otherwise?

Post by smtguy »

My 633 has been sitting for 2 weeks. Ran great 2 weeks ago. Started right up today, and idled fine. When I backed out of the drive way, it seemed like it wanted to stall - drove it down the street and it seems like it is only running on about 4 cylinders, and still wants to stall at a stop unless I keep the revs up. Smells like it is running rich and seems like the plugs are fouled? Have not dug into it yet, but where do you guys suggest I start?
Thanks,
Scott

I'd check the coolant temp sensor first.

Unless you did something to it just when you last put it away. :)

Thanks, how do you test the coolant sensor?

These may be the values...

Resistance Values of Coolant Temp Sensor
Dead Cold = 2735
Just above the blue line = 577
30 minutes after turning off engine from blue line = 1045

From:

Good luck,

Ray,
There seem to be multiple sensors in that area. Which one are you referring to? Do you have a picture?
Thank you,
