SuperSprint Perf Exhaust Experience?

Post by jcburk »

Anyone have any experience or feedback on SuperSprint Exhaust system for M cars? Turner Motorsports is running a 25% off and free shipping (which they seem to do several times a year). I was thinking of doing the full system including headers, cat delete, resonator and muffler. Goal is something that will support future engine mods but still sound close to stock. Mods with full rebuild would be 3.8 crank, head work, cams etc.

Thanks in advance,
John,

Can't say for the m6 but for other cars the super sprint exhaust products are great but expensive

Again, not an M6 but I installed a Supersprint muffler and resonator on my 635 over 10 years ago. It's strictly a fair-weather car and I've driven it only 5-8K miles since then so I can't really comment on the durability of the system, but it sounds great at full throttle without being overly loud around town or at cruising speed on the highway. Mine is the mild steel system and cost me about $900; since then they've begun making them out of stainless and the price has gone up.

I recently bought the supersprint system (centre and rear) for my UK 6er and realised when I came to fit it that there seems to be about 18inches missing from the front of the centre box to the down pipes so I had to abandon the install as this centre supersprint resonator is much shorter. Is this how it's meant to be as I got the right part numbers to match my car. Is this to accommodate cars with cats? I'm guessing I'd have to get an exhaust shop to make the rest up for me?

Cheers.
