Small ATF leak at radiator connection

Post by Ragierer »

The car is a 1988 BMW635CSI. I have had it a couple months and have been consistently working on it or having some one work on it.
I replaced radiator, water pump, thermostat and alternator, along with many hoses. I then had the AC compressor replaced and retrofitted with R-134a.

All progress is coming along nicely but I have noticed leaking ATF at the radiator. Not a lot but leaking. I thought I might just need to tighten down the lines, but they are on very tight.

Is there an O-ring or something I need to use on these fittings?

If you look at the diagram you will see that there is no gasket or O ring

Are you sure that there is where the leak is>

I think you sent me in the right direction. I think the lines are failing at the rubber to metal joint.
Thanks
