Well, I believe I’ve read every article about bleeding the notorious clutch slave cylinder and I can’t seem to get it done correctly. I pumped the cylinder on the bench to suck in fluid from the bleed until it started to come out of the inlet port.
I then installed the unit, put the pressure bleeder on and the cracked open the inlet port first and then the bleed nipple. All fluid and no air whatsoever. Get in and only have a partial peddle.
I posted earlier about the lack of the clutch return spring assy and now I am wondering if I am ‘short stroking’ the master cylinder piston by not having the petal return all the way up, thus shortening the stroke and fluid output?
I’ve never had this kind of issue bleeding a new slave before.
The previous post I had said the pedal mount had no provisions to mount a spring cartridge.
Any thoughts guys ?

Have you tried this method? It always works for me, but I'm not so sloppy, and I put a hose on the bleeder to collect the fluid.

I concur the oil can from the local hardware store, and bleed from the bottom up works perfectly.
