m635 Exhaust options and Supersprint install

Post by brickwhite »

I"m looking to update my exhaust on my m635...

I have this and my old systems is pretty rusty.

Image

I'm thinking about using the supersprint section 1 pipes with a OE muffler

and

instead of the OE resanotor that is NLA..

With this on the end...

I ended up ordering the Super sprint Euro Setup from Turner. I have the Euro headers from EBay I'll post pics and details once I get it in and installed.

So I will have all three....

Yes, please do, I'm sure many will be interested in your experience, I have a friend for one that is looking to replace his original OEM system with something SS :-?

BTW, your photobucket pix are not showing, maybe copy them to your PC then attach :-k

The super sprint product is pretty sweet sounding and keeping the oem style rear muffler will keep it civilised.

Nice headers, we can't fit these on RHD's. Consider getting them HPC coated inside and out. Keeps exhaust gases hotter for longer and under hood temp's lower. SS looks good but over time will heat tarnish.

HOT-COAT is about $250 US plus shipping.... IDK not sure it's worth it.

I would surely recommend the coating. Look for a local source for the process, it is not proprietary and many powder coaters do it. The reduction in under-hood temps will keep all the other components younger.

+1 on the Jet Hot coating. I haven’t had the E24 done, but it made a huge difference in underhood temp on my ‘92 Alfa Spider OEM manifolds. Looks great, too, even after several years.

Do you know if the mounting points line up for the Euro muffler to your M635? I originally ordered the Euro setup as well, but because I have a US M6 the muffler section didnt line up properly. Currently waiting for the US version to show up with the headers.

Hi Ron,

Instead of you having to remind members that their location was required @ sign up,

why can't the program be written so you can't register without that field being filled out?

Just thinking out loud.
