While replacing a tire with a persistent leak, my muffler is making the pfffft sound so I found a small hole where the tube after the cat meets the rear muffler. Realoem cites the part as 18129068555. And the dreaded NLA notation for my 84 633 Vin 6997510.
I may be able to jamb JB weld into it or have a muffler shop try to weld it up.
Any good suggestions for a replacement? It's an autobox and vroom vroom is not the desired outcome.
Thoughts?

Based on your description, I bet it can be welded.

Re: My muffler is NLA - what to do?
If the muffler shop can't do it as they may see too much rust, can I seal it up with tin solder which can be laid on with a hand held torch?

a good welder at a muffler shop should easily be able to do that.
Good luck with it.

Hi guys.
Why not try liquid metal. It's a two part epoxy which you work together between your fingers. Apply around hole and it becomes solid. You can use it on castings to drill and tap it. I used it on my back box. Ground it down and painted it. Job done.
