Fellas,
Could someone tell me if the M635CSi shifter is the same as the USA versions? I've got the transmission apart and I'd like to consider moving to a shorter throw, but I'm not sure that everything would go together the same. Will any ol' E24 short shifter fit (or the M6 shifter), or does the euro M car require something special?
Thanks,
E

Your e24 M635 has a 280 Transmission or should. The shifter is similar to the pic above.
Are you wanting just to upgrade the bushing?
Or are you wanting to replace the Shifter itself? (Short shifter?)
I don't recommend a short shifter from a z3 etc. They are notchy and never shift better in my opinion.

Re: M635CSi Shifter
I was considering a UUC kit for the E24. I have one in my M3 (e36) and enjoy it, but I wanted to verify that it would fit. I'm replacing the bushings and the knuckle itself as well.

Re: M635CSi Shifter
I have that one. Recommended. Tho the gears selection orientation is forward a little (including neutral). You may want to look at a different length selector rod. I haven't bothered.
Cheers,
