Oil Pressure Sensor Question

Post by brtele »

The existing Oil Pressure Sensor on the rear of the head is causing an awful leak and is being replaced tonight. I don't see a torque rating for this sensor in the Bentley or haven't found it in the search engine. I was thinking 20ft/lb similar to the Bentley Oil Pressure Switch spec, is this correct?

Also, should I use any thread sealant?

Thanks again and sorry if I overlooked it in the search engine.

The replacement Bosch sensor has a crush washer so I'm going to torque to 20ft/lb and call it a day.

You could use a little PTFE tape.
