Is there anyone who happens to have a schematic of the Bosch double relay #0332514121? I am trying to find out where the power for the fuel pump comes from just to make sure it is not the relay that causes the problem. As many of you know, the relay activates when the flap on the Air Flow Meter (AFM) opens. My relay does just that but there is no power going to the pump (Green/Purple). In the attached picture we have all sorts of wires going into the double relays (to include the white ones) but without a diagram I have no idea which one actually feeds the fuel pump. Anyone have more insight? The wires where I placed the + are the ones that have power when the ignition is on and the flap in the AFM is open.

I'd wager the wire color of the hot lead at the fuel pump matches the relay plug.

:)

If not, you maybe able to check continuity.

Ray,

that would be too obvious. The relay clicks and nothing goes to the pump. The new one and the old one have no power going. This makes me think that the relay works but the power that is supposed to go doesn't

Oh. I may have partially misunderstood your query.

But it looks like Tom nailed it!

What did you think I was asking? Turns out that the green/yellow cable is what feeds the pump. Looking at it now I feel dumb since it tells you in the schematic.

Problem solved! There is no power at 88y =D> Since there is power at the fuse, I assume that there is a break in the cable itself.

I thought you were assuming you had output from the relay and wanted to know which wire served the pump (and whether it was hot). That wasn't quite what you asked though, upon reflection :)

Sounds to me like a broken solder joint in your combo relay... Did you consider this?

Relays are both good! Problem was right by the fuse box. The plug had melted at one point in time and that reduced contact based on the temperature which made it intermittent. I cleaned it up as good as I could and it seems fine now.
