M88 Starter

Hi guys!

I Think i have to change my starter solenoid but im kind of new with cars in general and i was wondering where i can locate the starter on a M88 Engine :) ? I tried to google but no luck....

Left side of the back of the engine under the intake manifold.

Okey, thanks!

Is it difficult to change solenoid or do i have to remove lots of hoses and other stuff?

You will have to remove the air filter housing (1 MAF connector, one mounting bolt and the flexible hose to the plenum), then the plenum chamber itself (hose on the top centre and bottom centre, plus the 6 throttle body flexible hoses). Once the plenum of off you can get easy access to the starter and piggy-back solenoid.

changing the starter is a pig of a job. Before you dive in, be absolutely sure that it isn't something else, like the ignition switch (which is a far more common fault).
