Hi, what do people do to replace the pipe under the inlet manifold ?
Is there a source for replacement, or are others making or using an alternative (hose and Tee's or modify hoses from later M30's ?) thanks
PS here are two of mine, both rusty

Just the outside or the inside also?

Re: Rusty engine coolant pipe on M90 635 engine
Hi Hefeweizen I have just had a closer look and both are rusty on the inside. There is some pitting from outside, and I am not confident to wire brush and paint as I suspect I may get holes down the track.
I am now leaning towards using the later B34 / B35 system of hoses and tee's to eliminated the tube (will just need to search on "real oem" site for a correct combination of part numbers).
UPDATE: using later hoses does not have feed for the air slide !!
PS. for those in USA, from the e9 forum I was advised of some stainless steel pipes being made in USA, but too expensive for me to then freight to Australia:

If you can't find someone to reproduce it locally, USPS has some flat rate shipping rates that aren't too crazy for international stuff. What are the dimensions on that pipe? If it makes dollars and sense, I would be willing to re-ship it to you in OZ.
