+1 Brad Penn has hi zddp (zinc) content. Strangely, only place in Phoenix area, where I live , that has it, is a skateboard shop. Go figure!

I am going to break my fresh engine in on Rotella Just thought I'd give a thumbs up on Brad Penn. Can't beat Rotella on sale at Auto Zone or WallMart

Tommy, that's awfully light viscosity for our old, large clearance engines. Just saying.

Wow, just saw this
Tommy, Ken is right, that oil is WAY too light for an M30, especially one with 285k on the clock
I think Mobile 1 makes 15W40 or 15W50, you should be using something like that
Just sayin'

Re: Tell us what type of motor oil you prefer?
Revisiting this thread
So I'm getting ready to do the springtime oil change and get ready for summer, off to Pep Boys I go
First off, there are virtually no options left for 20W50 weight oils
I was hoping to try this Valvoline VR1, alas not to be found, so I went with the tried and true Castrol GTX
Wish I had done a search to see where I could find VR1, appears that O'Reilly's carries it
Well, next oil change, I guess

Re: Tell us what type of motor oil you prefer?
Sorry Bob, Kendall is not Kendall as we used to know it any more as they sold the name to Conoco Phillips. The true green Kendall oil, as we used to know it, is now marketed and owned by Brad Penn who bought the refinery and I believe are the only one refining true Pennsylvania crude oil. You can google Brad Penn and find retail merchants or buy it on Amazon at a very fair price with free shipping. Brad Penn oil is very high in ZDDP (Zinc), which our motors thrive on
