Instrument cluster fuse blowing
Hi. The 7.5A fuse for the right side of the instrument cluster started blowing. Not always immediately, but every couple of times when I start the car. It's an '87 M6. Where to start?

Re: Instrument cluster fuse blowing
According to the official BMW (US) manual, fuse #10 is instruments and OBC. Suggest you try disconnecting the OBC first and see if it still blows.
If that fails to work, you could try disconnecting various feeds to the instrument panel. That may indicate the problem.
If that fails, try connecting a known-good instrument panel to see what happens. If it still blows then it must be a short in the wiring.

Thanks. Car runs fine, so assume the OBC is OK
