Hi guys,
In the process of preparing my ‘88 for its winter hibernation, noticed there was some coolant “gunk”under the #2 & 3 exaust port between the head and the block.. Is this a common area for any headgasket leakage? Haven’t noticed any coolant loss, nor any issues with overheating.. ( well, I did have a stuck thermostat, but that has been fixed),Engine has never been overheated, at least not by me in the last 5 years...
The gunk is best described as a gel like, like antifreeze leaking and cooked off by the exhaust.. engine runs good, no bubbles in the radiator, nor any white smoke/ sweet smell at the exhaust..
