Need Help with Getrag 265 Measurements

Post by VintageRacer »

If someone has a spare G265 laying about I was hoping to get a few quick measurements.

1. Distance from the face of the bellhousing to the end of the input shaft
2. Length of pilot bearing part of the input shaft
3. Length of splines on the input shaft

Thanks!

Does a 260/5 bolt up using the same clutch/TOB/pilot bearing? If so I have one of those lying about and I can grab measurements from it.

Hope this helps!

Looks like the pilot bearing stub is about 23mm long, depending on where you start and end. Not including the bullnosed end of the stub.
The splined portion of the input shaft is about 46mm, starting at the TOB sleeve and ending at the slight chamfer on the end of the splines.
The pilot stub protrudes about 17mm beyond the face of the BH, including the bullnosed portion.

Thanks, this helps a lot. Does anyone have a 265 laying around they can confirm these?

Had one in the shop setting next to the band saw for the better part of a year but just recently got everything back together and running.
Will likely be January before we pull another transmission. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you sooner.
