Been going over the car this weekend and found some wires that aren't connected, cut off and of unknown purpose.
Any help appreciated.

Re: Unattached wires
The first image you have posted is the brake pressure regulator / voltage regulator sitting on top of the pressure accumulator(brake bomb)
I Compared you image 1 to my car and the same wires disconnected on yours are disconnected on mine.
Image 2 The plug is taped up maybe broken on the grey wire. This is the plug and wire for the front crank sensor. This sensor has no effect on how the car runs it was only used for diagnostics. It only runs back from this plug to the diagnostic port. You can see the bracket that was designed to hold the plug towards the bottom of your image 2
Here is the grey wire and plug for the front crank sesnsor on mine (note it is disconnected on mine as well)
In the last image the piece on the left with the 30 or so holes is the gong / chime it has two connections on the back which look like this
The piece on the right is the interior temperature sensor. It should have a vacuum line and a plug running to it that looks like this

Thanks for the response. Its always interesting getting a new toy and discovering things that look out of place or just plain wrong. I figured that if everything on the car was operating, then the wires in question were not needed or were for add on extras.
After posting the second photo, I discovered the crank angle sensor had its wire cut also, but couldn't figure out why the motor operated with an important component disconnected. You've now answered this for me.
As for the gong/chime thing, I've not yet heard it go off. Will be interesting when it does activate.
