Wiring Harnesses - which one for a 1987 635 csi!

Post by weejangus »

Hi guys,

I’ve put a post in the wanted section looking for an engine wiring harness along with the harness behind the dash.

Quick question though, I’ve noticed that the harness appears to have changed between earlier and later models so I was wondering if anyone knows which harnesses should fit a 1987 car? I.E. when did BMW change the harnesses?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks,

J

Okay, so wiring harness is no longer required.

Managed to sort the issue with my own loom.

However, we’ve now established why it broke down all those weeks ago. Started the car and the engine is knocking badly. Don’t know the reason for the knocking but engine will need a rebuild.

Only drove the car for 20 minutes before it died!
